The World’s Loss of Shelby Allegood

AMTC Regional Director and Owner of Touch of Class, Shelby Allegood, passed away on July 28, 2008, following surgery for intestinal complications. Shelby loved the fashion, modeling, and talent industries, and she loved her students! Her family has suffered a great loss. So have we all. The world has lost a touch of class, but the world’s loss is God’s gain. It’s Shelby’s gain as well. Shelby’s Touch of Class is now another touch of class in heaven. We respect of her contributions to our industry, and we mourn her loss.

A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children’s children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.
Shelby left a great inheritance to her family. She left a great inheritance to thousands of students and friends over many years. She built up a Holy Spirit treasure chest, and she passed it along. We all hope for a similar outcome!

I had such a nice visit with Shelby in January. We were comfortable in a quiet part of the suite where the engagement party was happening. I alway looked forward to seeing her because she always reminded me of my own grandmother who passed a number of years ago. She was so grandmotherly and sweet just like mine. I know the AMTC family is feeling her loss as I am sure you are too. My prayers are with you!

Shelby was such a beautiful and kind person, her smile and sweet spirit will always be remembered. Such a great loss to us and a great gain for God. I will miss her smiling face at convention.

Being a part of Touch of Class and attending AMTC this summer, I was able to become very close with Ms. Shelby this year. She was the sweetest lady and truly loved all of her students. I am so glad I was able to get to know her. I love you Ms. Shelby!!

I have just heard the news of our grat loss. Shelby was amazing, nevr loud, never over bearing but ever so giving. I will always remember her smile, the smile that you knew was more then sincere. No matter how busy, no matter how stressed, no what what, you could count on her for encouraging words. Shelby you will be missed but as it has already been spoken ...what a joyous gift our Heaven has just received. Brenda Stephenson

Ms. Shelby was such a very special person to me. I got to know her about 4 years ago when my daughter auditioned for AMTC. We continued to stay in touch with her. I considered her part of my family. I will miss her and will continue to pray for her family. I love you and miss you.

I've known and worked with Ms. Shelby for about 4 years now and she became just like another mother to me. I will miss her soo much but she will always be close to me in my heart. She has taught me so much and i can proudly say she has made me into the person i am today. I will always remember everything she had taught me through the years (Love Licks) and take it with me through the rest of my life journey. Thanks for everything Ms. Shelby. I love you! I loved Shelby Allegood. She was a wonderful Christian friend and role model to me! I am so happy that she is pain free and joyful in God's world. She is probably up there with my mother planning a fashion show!
